CHARGE OF THEIR OWN LIFE AND BECOME ACTIVE IN PURSUIT OF RECOVERY MAY BE OF HELP TO YOU TOO.
Writing your own story can be very beneficial for your health and put you on a recovery route, although it would be misleading to say you can expect a cure. Some people do of course have a psychosis precipitated by a life event, some kind of trauma, from which they may make a complete recovery. But most psychoses result from a genetic predisposition together with traumas early on in life which make one vulnerable to stress in later life. Working through those early traumas – gently – by writing about them can help see things in a better perspective.
